Covid Mitigation

Since singing produces considerable aerosols, we have adopted what we consider sensible mitigation policies to help protect the singers and our audience from transmitting Covid-19. We have and will continue to modify our policies as conditions "on the ground" change. Since the virus presently appears to be less deadly (but more transmissible), we are almost back to normal.

Soon, we will be back to rehearsing in the high school's choral room which is a little tighter but has the ability to create distance from their fellow contagion, I mean, singers if anyone wishes. Masks are now optional (a change in policy) but recommended. Vaccination is now optional but encouraged, especially keeping up with boosters helps to ward off the latest variants.

We sing as a cohesive group where we are expected to protect our fellow singers. If you wish to discuss our mitigation policies, by all means, contact us through the contact portal below.

Who we are and how to join

We welcome you to join our 60 voice choral ensemble.

The only prerequisite is a love of singing great choral music, both sacred and secular, and a dedication and commitment to the choral art in both rehearsal and performance. There is no audition requirement. The ability to sightread is treasured, but not required. We pride ourselves in having a wonderful mix of both professional and amateur singers, where each group assists the other.

Presently we are rehearsing in the High School chorus room, 450 Glen Cove Ave. Glen Head, most Monday evenings, starting at 7:30 PM.
